Description of Sessions for June 27, 2021
Creative Expression ~ Music & Movement:
Sound and Motion: Discover the human body’s primal and unique connection to sound and motion through guided and improvisational exercises. This class asks you to release your inhibitions and connect to your inner creativity!
Stroll the calming nature surrounding the Village grounds as you make your way to the next session in the Alma room.
Essentials of Fitness ~ Tabata:
Maret will teach you about this form of interval training that originated in Japan and take you through a workout that aims to offer you the most benefit in a short amount of time. Tabata improves athletic performance and glucose metabolism and it is an excellent way to burn calories. As with all physical activities, honor your body and activity level that works for you.
Yin Yoga Session
The Yin Yoga practice focuses on relaxed stretch-like poses. It creates sensation in the muscles and improves circulation and flexibility. This paired with awareness of the breath integrates a meditative aspect to the practice. Yin is a practice for all levels and can be modified to fit the needs of each participant.
